CHILDREN GROUP: 1200 FT
For organised groups of at least 10 people, payable in one payment. For groups of children, 2 accompanying adults are admitted free of charge.

INDIVIDUAL ADULT: 1900 FT
For visitors over the age of 18, not in a family or group.

INDIVIDUAL CHILD: 1400 FT
For children aged 2-18, not in a family, not in a group.

FAMILY TICKET: 5500 FT
For two adults and two children under 18.

What is the Leskowsky Instrument Collection?

The Leskowsky Instrument Collection is Hungary's largest interactive collection of musical instruments open to the public. It is located in the centre of Kecskemét, in a comfortable environment. Many of the instruments on display are instruments that can be played and tried out by visitors. museum

When is the collection open to visitors? Do I have to register?

From January to February 2023, the Instrument Collection will be open to visitors by appointment only. The Musical Instrument Collection is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
The Collection is closed on Mondays.
The cash desk closes at 16:30 every day.

In view of the current virus situation, even for individual visitors, an appointment is required to visit the instrument collection. For individual visits, it is also possible to register on the spot, a few minutes before the time of the visit. If no other visiting group is present, we can accommodate you immediately or offer you a time very close by.

How much is the ticket? Can I pay by card?

Do you speak English? Are guided tour available in English?

Yes, we do. All our collagues speak English and your gudance in English is included in the ticket.

Has the Instrument Collection been made wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Leskowsky Instrument Collection is accessible.

Disabled persons can access the lift in the basement from the entrance of the City of Hírös Tourist Centre. (Please let us know when you arrive so that our staff can assist you with the stairs and the lift.)

Blind and visually impaired people are welcome, as our staff can help you handle almost all of the instruments.

Deaf and hard of hearing people can also enjoy new experiences in our Collection, with instruments whose sound can be felt with the whole body and drums whose membranes amplify every sound. With this technique, you can "hear" with your hands.

Can I buy a souvenir or memento?

Yes. In the museum shop in the Instrument Collection you can buy a wide range of instrument-related books, postcards, special music CDs and folk instruments. Everyone can find a gift or souvenir to suit their taste and budget. Read more about the museum shop.

Should you visit the Musical Instrument Collection with a young child?

Yes, we strongly recommend a visit with young children. Children under the age of 2 can visit free of charge. The youngest children can touch, tap and blow the instruments while crawling on the soft carpet, while the older ones can play with the rest of the collection. Our family activites

Can you try out an instrument?

Yes. One of the main aims of the Leskowsky Instrument Collection is to bring the world of instruments literally within reach of the layman. We have a lot of instruments to try out. The instruments that are outside the display cases can be played without any questions, but with the help of our staff you can even hold the instrument in the case in your hands.

Can you take photos in the Musical Instrument Collection?

In the Instrument Collection you can take photos for your own use. However, you can take pictures of the instruments with a professional camera, either separately or up close - even for your own use - only by prior arrangement.
