The Leskowsky Instrument Collection is Hungary's largest interactive collection of musical instruments open to the public. It is located in the centre of Kecskemét, in a comfortable environment. Many of the instruments on display are instruments that can be played and tried out by visitors. museum
From January to February 2023, the Instrument Collection will be open to visitors by appointment only. The Musical Instrument Collection is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
The Collection is closed on Mondays.
The cash desk closes at 16:30 every day.

In view of the current virus situation, even for individual visitors, an appointment is required to visit the instrument collection. For individual visits, it is also possible to register on the spot, a few minutes before the time of the visit. If no other visiting group is present, we can accommodate you immediately or offer you a time very close by.

The Leskowsky Instrument Collection is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00 and until the end of the events. The Collection is closed on Mondays. Other opening hours will be announced on our official website www.hangszergyujtemeny.hu.
A valid ticket is required to visit the Instrument Collection and our events. Exceptions to this rule are free programmes. You can buy your ticket on the spot or on-line at www.tixa.hu/hangszergyujtemeny. Groups of visitors must book in advance by telephone or via our website.
Wheelchair users can access the stairway and the lift via the Hírös Város Tourist Centre. Our staff will be happy to help you get in.
The exhibits of the Leskowsky Musical Instrument Collection are open for play, but you must have prior permission from the Collection staff to try them out or touch them. Not all instruments are available for testing. Our staff will be happy to help you play them. Instructions from our staff must be followed in all cases. In the event of damage caused by visitors, the Collection may take legal action.
Anyone visiting the Instrument Collection does so at their own risk.
In order to preserve the integrity of the instruments on display, jackets and rucksacks must be left in the designated area.
By entering the area of the Leskowsky Instrument Collection, the visitor expressly accepts that a visual or audio recording may be made there, in which any visitor may appear in his capacity as a visitor, but that he may not make any claim in connection with the use of the recording against the Leskowsky Instrument Collection, the organisers or the makers of the recording, or any other valid user of the recording.
Only amateur photographs for personal use are permitted in the Leskowsky Sound Collection. In all other cases, prior permission must be obtained by emailing info@hangszergyujtemeny.hu.
With the exception of guide dogs, animals are only allowed by prior arrangement and with the approval of a Collection staff member. Weapons, or what appears to be weapons, or any other object or substance dangerous to life, limb or health are prohibited on the grounds of the Leskowsky Instrument Collection. No means of transport (e.g. bicycles, scooters, small motorcycles, roller skates, skateboards, etc.) may be brought into the Collection due to space restrictions. Our staff will assist you in placing them.
Please eat your food and drink before your visit, and do not bring it into the Collection.
Smoking is prohibited in the entire building.
In the event of an emergency, visitors are required to follow the instructions of the Collection staff and to comply with the evacuation plan.
The institution is not responsible for any valuables left on the premises of the Collection.
The actions of the staff of the Collection and the Rules of Procedure are binding on all visitors.
The above are the rules of the House Rules. Any visitor who violates these rules may, after a warning, be expelled from the building for a specified period of time or permanently and may be subject to legal proceedings. Any damage resulting from a breach of these rules shall be the responsibility of the person who has breached them or who is responsible for the breach. Where the breach of the rules also constitutes a breach of the law, the person who has breached the rules or is responsible for the person who has breached the rules shall be liable for the legal liability and shall be subject to any penalties provided for by law.
